My fiancé and I wanted to try something different tonight. We love steakhouses in Indianapolis and were searching for that without driving to Indy. We drove 45 mins to J Fords and were not disappointed. The service, cocktails, steak and dessert were amazing! Totally coming back. Shout out to our server tonight, didn’t catch his name, but he managed probably five/six other tables and killed it! Highly recommend the truffle fries and the ooey gooey butter cake!
We had a phenomenal experience!! It started with Hope at the front of house. She made sure we got in and had plenty of time to get there. Then Melissa who was our server made the evening. The service was welllll above phenomenal. Our drinks were never empty, she made the evening fun, and had the best recommendations on the menu!!! One of the more enjoyable experiences we’ve had there….thank you ladies!!
Absolutely amazing!!!!! I thought that there was nothing that would ever compare to Todd Jurichs in Virginia! But this place is right up there on the top of my list! We moved here in 9/2021, his family is from Rockville and I have not had this good of restaurant since I moved to Indiana! The barrel cut steak was so tender I don’t even think I chewed it! The truffle mashed potatoes and port wine mushrooms amazing! And the goat cheese appetizer! Amazing! Let me talk about the service I didn’t catch her name, but perfect service! Hell she cleaned after my husband and his crumbs, I don’t even clean up after him! Yes it is pricey, but it is worth every penny and every bite for the best food!
Omg we stumbled in on a road trip. Really an amazing place. STRONGLY RECOMMEND. Service was great, cocktails were excellent. Mains and sides were fantastic—the sweet potato casserole is delish! This place was worth a stop in Terre Haute!!!
Truly one of the most incredible, satisfying, and delicious meals I've ever had. Everything from service to food was impeccable. We went to celebrate a college graduation and it was definitely Masters degree worthy! It is quite expensive, but we knew that going in! Just be aware of prices before going and you will be fine. The food is worth every single penny!
Truly Amazing Service! Food was outstandingly prepared with a wonderful presentation! Every bite took you on an adventure through flavor town! Food is priced accurately, especially adding in the prep time, changing out of plates, silverware, and the attention to detail! Definitely brag worthy! I never met a dish that didn't deserve to have it's picture taken! Thank you for the best dining experience and shame on you for ruining my dining experience at other restaurants!
We went out for a date night today and visited J. Ford’s Steakhouse for the first time, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The food was incredible, our steaks were cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and literally melted in our mouths. The truffle fries with the honey jalapeño aioli were to die for, it was the perfect mix of savory, sweet, and a little kick of spice. Our drinks were excellent, and our waiter went above and beyond to make the evening special. Between the outstanding service and the amazing food, we left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend J. Ford’s Steakhouse if you’re looking for a top-notch dining experience!
Impressed. Mac and Cheese took gold on my visit. Excellent service. Absolutely nothing left wanting in that area. Food was really good. Environment was great. Wine selection is excellent. Definitely a place to visit.
This is a fantastic restaurant, with fantastic food and atmosphere. The service at the bar was also great. I travel through Terre Haute for business periodically, and will make this my new favorite dinner place. Order the NY Strip 'Pittsburg' style, you will not be disappointed. The bar tender Kayla is the best.
Wow! We enjoyed an excellent dinner here. The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. Goat cheese and marinara appetizer was great. Steaks were exceptional and the lobster was huge and delicious. We can definitely recommend this place for a perfect date night!
